Rationale

This course will enable the graduates to learn about organic horticulture including integrated management, soil and nutrition management, quality control and value addition in organic products.

 

Course Learning outcomes (CLO)

  • CLO 1: Analyze the opportunities, limitations and history of organic horticulture
  • CLO 2: Outline the integrated management systems and issues
  • CLO 3: Interpret production of crops using organic manures, pest control using plant extracts and biological means
  • CLO 4: Develop scopes for recycling of organic residues, quality control and value addition of organic products.
